On November 29th, Academician Zhao Tianshou of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor from Southern University of Science and Technology visited the International Joint Laboratory of Low-Carbon Built Environment under the Ministry of Education for on-site inspection and exchanges. The purpose of this visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of the laboratory's scientific research progress and achievements, and to further promote academic exchanges and cooperation. Professor Li Angui, Director of the Joint Laboratory and Dean of the School of Building Services Science and Engineering, accompanied the inspection.

During the visit, Academician Zhao Tianshou listened to a comprehensive introduction to the construction achievements of the Joint Laboratory's core research directions in the field of underground space and built environment protection, and obtained detailed information about the configuration of scientific research facilities, breakthroughs in key technological innovations, and the transformation and application of achievements. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on cutting-edge academic issues such as environmental safety guarantee for underground spaces in disaster-stricken environments and polymorphic simulation methods for high-altitude underground environments, focusing on the engineering transformation paths, scenario application implementation, and industrialization development prospects of underground space environment protection technologies.
