On March 4, Zhou Heng, Chief Engineer of Northwest Engineering Corporation Limited, PowerChina, visited the International Joint Laboratory of Low Carbon Building Environment, Ministry of Education, for an on-site inspection and exchange. The visit aimed to gain an in-depth understanding of the laboratory’s scientific research progress and promote industry-university-research academic exchanges and engineering applications. Professor Angui Li, Director of the Joint Laboratory and Dean of the School of Building Environmental Science and Engineering, accompanied the inspection.

During the visit, Chief Engineer Zhou Heng reviewed the construction achievements of the Joint Laboratory in its core research areas of underground space and building environment guarantee. He was briefed in detail on the allocation of scientific research facilities, key technological innovations, as well as the research progress made by the Joint Laboratory in serving major national and local underground engineering facilities. The two sides also held in-depth discussions and exchanges on technical research and development, achievement transformation, talent cultivation and other topics related to underground hydropower stations and pumped storage power stations.
