On the morning of April 13, a delegation led by Gu Juping, President of Suzhou University of Science and Technology, visited the International Joint Laboratory on Low-Carbon Built Environment of the Ministry of Education for a research tour, focusing on disciplinary development, research platform advancement and international cooperation. Gao Xukuo, Vice President of our university, heads of relevant functional departments, Li Angui, Director of the Joint Laboratory and Dean of the School of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, and Wang Yunling, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, accompanied the visit.

During the visit, President Gu Juping and his entourage toured the various research platforms of the Joint Laboratory, and gained a detailed understanding of its core research directions, key technological innovations and international cooperation in the field of underground space and built environment support, as well as a series of progress made in serving the construction of major national and local underground engineering facilities. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on such topics as laboratory platform construction, transformation of scientific research achievements and talent cultivation.

President Gu Juping stated that the research tour had yielded valuable experience. He expressed hope that the two sides would take this visit as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation in the field of low-carbon built environment, jointly promote high-quality disciplinary development and scientific and technological innovation, and contribute scientific and technological strength to the low-carbon, high-efficiency transformation of the construction industry.
