On the morning of March 7th, Professor Zhu Yingxin from Tsinghua University, the director of the Teaching Steering Committee for Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering of the Ministry of Education, was invited to our college to give a keynote lecture titled "Rowing Against the Current, If You Don't Move Forward, You Will Fall Behind - Sharing Her 34-Year Teaching Experience". More than 70 teachers and students from our college attended the meeting to listen and exchange ideas. The meeting was presided over by Professor Li Angui, the dean of the School of Building Equipment Science and Engineering.

At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Li Angui extended a warm welcome to Professor Zhu Yingxin. Subsequently, Professor Zhu Yingxin, drawing on her 34 years of teaching and research experience, shared valuable insights and experiences in three aspects: undergraduate teaching research, scientific and technological research, and talent cultivation.

Regarding undergraduate teaching research, Professor Zhu Yingxin stressed that "constant teaching reform is essential for survival." She used cases to discuss solutions to teaching issues and offered practical advice to teachers. Later, she reviewed her research journey, explained research’s significance for disciplinary development and social progress, and encouraged teachers and students to innovate and value interdisciplinary cooperation. Concluding the lecture, Professor Zhu shared her educational philosophy: talent cultivation is higher education’s core task. She suggested integrating teaching with research, focusing on students’all-round development, and fostering compound talents with innovation and practical abilities.

After the lecture, Professor Zhu Yingxin interacted and communicated with the teachers and students present. Teachers and students all expressed that Professor Zhu's lecture was rich in content and profound in insights, which was very beneficial.

After the meeting, Professor Zhu Yingxin, accompanied by President Li Angui and others, visited the Ministry of Education's International Joint Laboratory for Low-Carbon Building Cooperation, and learned in detail about the progress of the laboratory's construction, scientific research facilities, technological innovation and the transformation of achievements.

During the visit, Professor Zhu Yingxin highly praised the existing scientific research achievements of the laboratory and had in-depth exchanges with the relevant teachers of the laboratory on the cutting-edge issues in the field of underground space and building environment protection.

In the future, the laboratory will further deepen exchanges and cooperation with industry experts, focus on key issues in the field of underground space and building environment protection, promote technological innovation and the transformation of achievements, and contribute to the green transformation of China's construction industry.
