About the Speaker: Dr. Kumar Biswajit Debnath is a faculty member at the University of Technology Sydney. He is the founder of the Advanced Bio-Architecture Laboratory (Bio-X) and the Early Career Researcher Development Track Laboratory (ECRTracklab), and holds the distinction of being a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in the United Kingdom. With extensive academic and research experience spanning universities in Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, and Australia, his work centers on pioneering the framework of “Bio-Intelligent Building Systems.” This innovative approach integrates bio-based materials, artificial intelligence-driven design, and localized intelligent construction technologies to advance the goals of net-zero carbon emissions and climate-resilient architecture. He has served as principal investigator on multiple national and international research initiatives.
